Fresno City Sets Up Gentrification Task Force. But Is It Enough?

From the Fresno Bee: “A task force to tackle gentrification in Fresno is on the horizon — but some residents say the gesture is too, too late.
Approved last week by the City Council, the city must establish the task force by year’s end to maintain good standing with the state Department of Housing and Development and meet housing element program requirements.” Meanwhile, Lucio Avila with Leadership Counsel is encouraging the city to make sure the task force is made up mostly of residents to ensure the community is effectively represented.
