The communities \u2014 almost all predominantly communities of color \u2014 remained but many without basic services and amenities including safe drinking water.<\/p><p>We work with community leaders and community-based organizations from several unincorporated communities including <strong>Matheny Tract, Pixley, Allensworth and Tooleville<\/strong> to right the wrongs of the past. Areas of focus in Tulare County include securing safe and affordable drinking water and wastewater service, improving public transit and active transportation infrastructure, informing equitable land-use planning and climate resilience planning, and protecting communities from pollution from dairies and other pollution
