History has taught us that progress is only ever achieved through fearless, unapologetic demands from those who stand for what they believe in. At Leadership Counsel, we are unapologetic in our efforts to advance justice and equity, no matter what odds stand in our way. This means we stay committed to our values of supporting community strength, increasing access to decision-making, and elevating the voices of historically excluded communities. These values, rooted in our partnerships with community, are non-negotiable, even when they are unpopular.

This unapologetic commitment is exactly how we’ve been able to achieve incredible change alongside Inland California residents since the day we opened our doors in 2013. Together, we’ve challenged a status quo that has created unequal, segregated, disinvested, and disproportionately polluted communities, and have advanced inclusive decision-making, equitable investments, and sound policy in its place. And we won’t stop now.

As our partners in this work, we are asking you to be unapologetic too. We are building a community of unapologetic partners to support the work of residents who are disrupting the status quo and securing equal access to opportunity in Inland California. We invite you to join us in this work as part of our community of monthly supporters.

Be Unapologetic

Our community of monthly supporters are unapologetic in their commitment to one fair and just California. Together, we’re making demands of those in power, shifting the culture of decision-making, and securing equal access to opportunity.

Here’s what you could help make possible as a part of this unapologetic community through your monthly support of Leadership Counsel:

  • Support 30+ communities’ ability to regularly meet and organize their neighborhoods to demand equitable investment and address environmental injustice
  • Bring 5 new staff members aboard the team to expand our work
  • Join 50+ residents from Inland California to the halls of power in Sacramento to make their voices heard each year
  • Engage over 300 residents at the local, regional, and state level.
